Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description
This hands-on Maintenance Technician role supports a fast-paced heavy industrial plant by installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining production equipment and systems. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, welding and fabrication capabilities, blueprint reading, basic carpentry and math skills, as well as the ability to work safely around heavy equipment and railroad tracks while supporting continuous operations across multiple production lines.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a heavy industrial plant environment that is often dirty, wet, and hot, particularly near operating equipment and production areas. Work is performed around heavy machinery, conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and railroad tracks, requiring constant attention to safety and situational awareness. The position supports a fast-paced facility with multiple production lines and rotating duties, and it involves regular use of forklifts and other material handling equipment. The standard schedule for this role includes second shift hours from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, with the expectation of rotating shifts as needed to support plant operations. Employees use tools and equipment associated with mechanical maintenance, welding, fabrication, basic carpentry, and computer-based maintenance systems, and they are expected to follow 5S principles to maintain an organized and efficient work area.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
